Juan Manuel García Lara earned both his bachelor’s and doctoral degrees in Business Administration and Management from UC3M. He currently is a UC3M professor of Financial Economics and Accounting in the department of Business Economics. “”It is a great privilege to receive this prize; it motivates me to continue researching and moving forward.  It is very rewarding to have one’s work valued by the academic community and then transmitted to the rest of society,” he stated.

Ana María Manero Salvador holds a bachelor’s and a doctoral degree in Law. Currently she is a Professor in International Public Law and International Relations in the UC3M department of Public International Law, Ecclesiastical Law and Philosophy of Law. “Receiving this award has inspired me to continue working in the research lines that I have cultivated and whose contributions I hope will be useful for the development of knowledge as well as for a profound analysis of issues that are of great importance to International Law,” she affirmed.

The “Miguel Catalán” and the “Julián Marías” research awards from Madrid Autonomous Region for researchers under the age of 40 are bestowed on a yearly basis in recognition of quality and excellence in scientific work and research carried out in the areas of Science and the Humanities.
